With construction wrapping up at the new Terminal A and future plans to replace the aging, trouble-prone monorail system, the bi-state authority’s attention is turning to planning what happens at the rest of the airport. With LaGuardia Airport’s almost total transformation from a politician’s punchline about being a third world facility and plans underway to rebuild JFK airport, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s attention is turning to Newark Liberty International Airport.
